We Make Good Wine
for Good People

About Us

Good Wine, Grown with Heart, Shared with Friends

Since 1750, Toll Gate Farm has been more than just a patch of land—it’s been a quiet witness to history, a gathering place, and now, a vineyard where good wine and good people come together. Nestled in the hills of Flint Hill, Virginia, we grow and craft small-batch wines with heart, heritage, and a whole lot of joy.

We’re not the kind of winery that’s open every day—but throughout the year, we host a handful of special events where friends, neighbors, and wine lovers gather under the sky and among the vines. If that sounds like your kind of moment, sign up to stay in the loop—we’d love to welcome you when the time is right.

We’re not trying to be fancy—we’re just proud of what our land produces and the stories it holds. Whether you come for the views, the vines, or a glass with friends, we hope you’ll feel right at home.

Viognier

Only 89 Cases

Availability: Estate Exclusively

Crafted exclusively from estate-grown grapes on our historic Flint Hill property, Toll Gate Farm’s Viognier is a refined and expressive white wine that showcases the unique character of our vineyard. Grown with care and harvested by hand, this small-batch vintage reveals elegance with every sip. Its graceful floral aromas and well-balanced acidity make it a standout among Virginia wines—bright, layered, and unmistakably rooted in place.

Tasting Notes

This wine is a soft yellow color which really pops if you place a white sheet of paper behind it (which all fancy wine tasters do). It has a great nose, a lovely floral smell unlike some whites which smell like nothing. On the palate you will taste tropical fruits, peach, pineapple, apricot, and many of your favorite island tastes. As fickle as these grapes are to grow, they make amazing wine so the blood, sweat and tears are worth it!
